Living things need water. Trees and snails need water to grow. Green plants must have water to make food. The fish need oxygen in water.
People bodies need water. Water makes up about two-thirds of your body. It helps you in many ways. Water helps digest food and carries things.
Water helps you change temperature. When you cold, it helps your body warm. When you hot, it might sweat. Sweat is a kind of water. It carries heat away from you.
Some animals only live in water. You can see many of these with your own eyes. Others are tiny. You can't see those animals without help.
